On October 4, 2021 I read a news article stating that, “Facebook executive says it's 'ludicrous' to blame Jan. 6 on social media.” Over the past few years, the entire social media like Twitter and other platforms have been blamed for every wrong thing that has been committed by people on these platforms. Ironically, when I see and hear such news, I wonder who is truly at fault? Is it these platforms or someone else? Are the media and the people looking for scapegoats instead of dealing with the real source?  Being a business technologist myself, I have come to recognize that Facebook and every social media have created a powerful and technological genius platform, which has enabled people across the globe, in a fraction of a second, to engage with one another on their personal, emotional, spiritual, and social life, freely with no restrictions.   The book of Exodus amazes me every time I read it.  It is an awesome place to see the mercies of God being exhibited on a bunch of self centered & rebellious people.  The verse in Exodus 32:4 seems like an epitome of Israel’s rebellion against God., "He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt."   We see that God has just delivered millions of Israelites from their 400 years of bondage, made them cross the Red Sea without a single boat, destroyed all their enemies, gave them food to eat and water to drink in the middle of the dry desert and finally seventy elders of Israel went up to the Mount of Sinai and “saw God” and “ate and drank” with God (Exodus 24).    Now these people who have witnessed, seen and experienced the power of the living God are so quick to make up an idol, and call it a god and bestow the work done by

Long time ago in an age when the people of this world had become extremely corrupt and the world was full of violence, God regretted creating mankind. Gen 6:8 tells us that “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”   Today we are living in similar times; violence is permeating in schools, public places and across the world. Corruption is on the rise and families are breaking apart. In those days God found only one man who was truly “righteous” and “walked faithfully with God.” God tells Noah “I will establish my covenant with you…” (Gen 6:18)  It is amazing to see God’s action to one man’s faithfulness. Noah’s life not only challenges us, but it encourages us to be like him. Today we are forced to ask these questions. Can God see a Noah in our life? Will we be able to stand for our family through our faithfulness to Him? If the answer to these is not a bold Yes, then it is not too late to make amends. After 40 days of fasting and praying, one would assume that the devil would run away from our lives. However, in Matthew 4 we see it differently since the devil was waiting for Jesus to tempt Him after his time of fasting and praying. In the first temptation the devil challenges Jesus to transform the stones to bread to meet his hunger needs. To which Jesus uses the written Word of God to tackle this temptation. After that the devil challenges Jesus to be thrown down from the temple top, as God will send his angels to protect Him. Indeed, this is a true statement!! However, Jesus recognizes that the devil was trying to challenge his soul (mind, will and emotions) and was inciting him to do things that would be contrary to God’s will. The devil was trying to make Jesus do his desires, rather than God’s. To which Jesus says, “Do not put the Lord your God to the test.” Finally, the devil takes Jesus to the top of a mountain and asks him to worship him. Jesus recognized his ploy and states

How would you like to live in a closed ship with no windows to look out and no deck to walk on for almost 370 days?  Genesis 7 and 8 tells us about Noah and his family living in similar conditions. It begins when the, “LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household…..And the LORD shut him in.” As the days and nights passed Noah and his family were getting tired of staying in the ark with hundreds of animals and the fragrance of animal and human excreta. Surely it was neither a joy ride nor a luxury cruise trip for them. I presume, they were getting to a point where they could not take it any longer. As the waters receded Noah sends out a second dove which never comes back. He then opens the covering of the ark and sees that the land was dry, but he did not leave the ark.   Over the years, the church has baptized little babies since they believed that the “original sin” from Adam is inherent in them. Out of good will, the parents and the church did not want their children to be lost. Hence, they established a doctrine for baptizing little children, so that if they die young, they will be saved from eternal judgment. Is that a true biblical doctrine? Are little babies and small children sinful and face condemnation?  If they die today, will they face God’s wrath of judgment just like the unbelievers?  The answer to all these questions is a big NO. As we live on this earth, we recognize that we all tend to inherit some or many traits from our parents - some good and some bad. I know I passed on my “sweet tooth,” to my boys, since we all enjoy a warm blueberry crumb pie with ice cream. I am not sure if that is a good or bad heritage that I pass on?  However, as I look back to when I was growing up in New Delhi in India, I have one picture of my dad, which is engraved in my mind for the past 50+ years. This was the picture of my dad every day in the evening, kneeling down on our rugged old multi-colored carpet with a reddish tinge, for the family Prayer. He would open his worship songbook and sing a song with my mom. Then he would read the Bible and close in prayer, as my brother and I tried to listen to it half-asleep. True Worshippers of the Living God will ensure that the words of the Praise/Worship song that they write or sing will glorify God and is in alignment to His Holy Word. The Love of God is indescribable by any word that we use in this world, however, there is one word that it does NOT align with and that is calling the love of God being 'Reckless." Many people within Christian circles have started saying that Covid-19 vaccine is mentioned in the Book of Revelation, hence we should avoid taking it.   So how about we evaluate this claim with proper Biblical context and see if it is true or not.
